Crosby County School Board Dinner

Justin Beeler, Sylvia Thomas, Charles Gonzales, and Cynthia Trevino decorated the LHS patio and created the programs for the Appreciation dinner that was held on January 26, 2012.

The theme of the dinner was Lights, Camera, Action!

Students created a "Wall of Fame" to honor the School Board members of Crosbyton, Ralls, and Lorenzo.

The event was catered by Charles M. Gonzales and the students aided him in plating and serving.

Justin Beeler and Ms. Skinner (student teacher) made and decorated the beautiful cake and cupcakes.

A good time was had by all!

Interior Design Guest Speaker

Kailey Meiwes, Texas Tech Interior Design student and entrepreneur, visited the Lorenzo Principles of Human Services class on March 31, 2011. She talked about various Interior Design related careers. She has a booth at KK's craft mall in Lubbock, Texas and will be opening a store in Lubbock in the Fall selling antique and European furniture.

She stressed that with hard work, determiniation, and independency, you can achieve anything. Kailey also talked to our class about college. She has financially supported herself through her four years of college and gave the class tips on how they can do the same.

Thanks for coming to visit us, Kailey! We learned a lot!

Marriage Preparation Foldables

The Principles of Human Services class have started an Interior Design unit. They have displayed their thrifty duck tape decor. Most of the projects were made to hang up in their own rooms. Great Job, guys! They turned out great! This project clearly shows how you can decorate on a budget.

FCCLA donates to Breedlove Foods

The Lorenzo High School Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) donated $200.00 to Breedlove Foods for the Haiti earthquake victims. Breedlove Foods, located in Lubbock, Texas, dehydrates foods such as potatoes, carrots, onions, and lentils. The food is packaged and shipped to over 80 countries worldwide to help people in need. This past Thursday, the FCCLA officers, Joey Martinez (president), Catarina Garcia (vice-president), and Mercedes Martinez (secretary) visited the plant and made the presentation of their donation to Breedlove Foods.
